Packaging is an art, science and technology of protecting the science, art and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution and sale. Packaging involves design, evaluation, and production of packages.

Sustainable Packaging is the development of packaging with improved sustainability. It reduces the environmental impact and it involves the process of finding functional, Cost effective and long term support for human and ecological health.
The specific factors for sustainable design of packaging might include the use of renewable resources, minimal materials, energy efficiency, effects on climate and recycling ability.

Rust is a reaction of water and iron in the presence of oxygen or moisture. Rust is a series of iron oxides which is of porous and easily lets moisture inside and the entire metal will corrode if unnoticed. The rusting is the common term for corrosion. Once the rusting begins it is difficult to put a stop.

Rusting component
There are several methods to prevent rusting,
- The best way to protect metal from rusting is by insulating it properly. So that water and moisture would not penetrate in. This is achieved by applying grease or oil
- By applying rust proof coating materials, emulsion etc.
- Bluing can provide limited resistance to rusting for small steel items.
- Corrosion inhibitors, like gas phase or volatile inhibitors can be used to prevent corrosion in closed systems.
Rust removal
There are highly effective and safe rust removal services that completely recover rusty parts. “Zerust® ICT® 620-RR” is a product that helps restore the rust parts without damaging the surfaces.
For long term prevention up to 2 years, “Zerust® Z-Maxx heavy-duty corrosion preventative grease” can be used. There is a proven rust protection of five years packing the metal part with the thin film using “Zerust® ICT® corrosion inhibiting film“

In an injection molding method molten plastic is injected into a mold at high pressure to get a desired part. The molds are made from steel or aluminium. Injection molding is widely used in automobile industry. The most commonly used thermoplastic materials are polystyrene.

The process cycle
Before the injection of the material to the mold the two halves of the mold must be securely closed in the clamping unit. The clamping unit is hydraulically powered. The plastic material is melted by heat and pressure then injected very quickly into the molds. The injection time can be estimated by the shot volume, injection pressure, and injection power. The molten plastic begins to cool and it will solidify into the desired shape. After sufficient time has passed, the cooled part may be ejected from the mold by the ejection system, which is attached to the rear half of the mold. When the mold is opened, a mechanism is used to push the part out of the mold. Force must be applied to eject the part because during cooling the part shrinks and adheres to the mold.
Injection molding is also used in security custom packaging by integrating RFID technology and packaging. It helps in creating theft-deterring containers that surround assets such DVDs, CDs and Software to create locked barrier.

MIL-STD is a military standard is used to achieve standardization objectives by the U.S. Department of Defense. This standardization is useful in defense related objectives, logistics systems and ensuring products meet certain requirements. It is also used by non-Defense government organizations, technical organizations, and industry.

Packaging Services
MIL-I-45208
It is an inspection system and is used when technical requirements required in-process as well as final end item inspection. It is referenced in a contract whenever an inspection of quality specification pertaining to military items sets forth the objectives and essential elements of an inspection system is required for the item. It is also used by packaging companies for commercial shipments.
